Nothing is different the way they were before. It looks like you have natural teeth all along!

  • What is a fixed bridge?

A fixed bridge or commonly known as dental bridge literally serves as bridge for gaps and spaces created by a missing tooth/teeth. It is non-removable.

  • What makes it different from other tooth replacement procedures?

Dentures are false teeth that are removable. Dental implants are surgically implanted to make teeth natural-looking. Fixed bridges are permanent that are fixed in the mouth to connect 1 or more missing teeth.

  • How is it done?

It is a multi-step procedure as it requires more than one visit to the dentist. A local anaesthesia is given. The teeth will then be reshaped that will house the crowns and these crowns need to be in perfect fit in order to hold the bridge in place.

  • Does it hurt to have fixed bridges?

The actual procedure is painless because you will feel numb with the use of a local anaesthesia. After the procedure, everything should be back to normal.

  • Is this a permanent solution?

These are usually permanently implanted and can last a lifetime but at times, it may fall out or come loose.
